Eschol M. Hammond: Lindsay Through A Lens, 1915 – 1950
For over 35 years, photographer Eschol M. Hammond would document images of life in Tulare County.
This exhibit showcases Hammond’s photographs of Lindsay through the decades, culled from Lindsay Museum and Gallery’s archive of Hammond’s original glass plate and film negatives, some of which date back a century and have not been seen in decades.
The photographs feature small slices of life in Lindsay, and how the small town changed, through two World Wars, the debut of the automobile, telephones, radio and TV, as well as through the artist’s lifetime.
The exhibit will also feature a pop-up exhibit on the History of Photography.
Opening Reception: Saturday, March 3, 2018
At the Lindsay Museum and Gallery.
Exhibit runs through March 2018.
